For summer 2017, I interned at Aesculap Implant Systems in Breinigsville, PA. It was also my first time in an airplane (!) and first time out of California (!) let alone on the East Coast (!), so suffice it to say that I did my best to explore the different scenery in my down time. That included hiking along the Appalachian trail, tandem paragliding on Blue Mountain, a spontaneous day trip to Boston to visit the Russell Museum of Medical History and Innovation, and eating an obligatory Philly cheesesteak.
